Plants in any hydroponic system can only uptake nutrients within the range of 5.5 – 6 pH. If pH levels exceeds this range, certain nutrients will be sealed out, progressing to signs of a nutrient defect even if there is a high EC; with many nutrients in the solution. Convenient management of pH is essential for excellent results.

Growth Technology has a full range of control solutions, and fundamental nutrient management that are key in hydroponic systems. These products are assembled using the purest and most concentrated sources available.

Bottled in black and red – the internationally approved packaging colours for dangerous liquids. Full consent with all health and safety regulations.

Growth Technology pH Down contains orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4). The concentration is 81%, is very strong, so ensure to handle with care. Some other products on the market are appreciably weaker, so ensure to check the concentration before purchasing. This is a very dense liquid and should feel much more weighted than water.

How to Use:
A pH meter is crucial for controlling constant pH levels. To ensure healthy growth, pH should be checked in regular intervals and when changing the nutrient tank.
pH Up should be added if pH levels are too low. pH Down should be added if pH levels are too high.

When administering pH, only a small dosage should be added at a time, stir the reservoir, then test the pH again. If more modifications are compulsory, a small amount should be added each time due to the strength of the solution.

Available in 250ml, 1L and 5L.
